Project Rescue Ocean joins PLANET 2024

ABOUT PROJECT RESCUE OCEAN

Project Rescue Ocean is an environmental NGO that has been modernizing the current environmental and nonprofit landscape since 2015. We offer public awareness initiatives by organizing waste collection operations and educating in schools with a universal program, aiming to expand internationally.

One of our primary missions is to raise awareness among children in schools, through the Rescue Ocean Academy. Our awareness programs are free, ensuring that all children can benefit from them. They are conducted by our ambassadors or volunteer members, who are trained by Project Rescue Ocean, which presents a universally adaptable program. These awareness sessions are engaging, tailored to different age groups, and culminate in awarding a ‘Ocean Rescuer’ diploma at the end of each session.

Our second mission is to organize pollution cleanup actions involving young people and the general public. Promoting natural awareness is the focus of our events.

EDUCATING 10,000 CHILDREN IN THE WORLD

For the year 2024, our ambition is to make significant strides in our mission. We plan to raise awareness among an additional 10,000 children and establish 5 new branches, both in France and internationally.

CLEANUP

For the year 2024, we have ambitious plans to make substantial progress in our mission. We aim to collect 100 tonnes of wild waste and establish 5 new branches, both in France and internationally.

ABOUT PLANET 2024

PLANET 2024 is a world movement on nature conservation and restoration, driven by a coalition of organizations across the globe. As part of the United Nations Decade on Ecosystem Restoration, PLANET 2024 aims to mobilize civil society and businesses to accelerate concrete initiatives to restore the planet.

ABOUT THE UN DECADE ON ECOSYSTEM RESTORATION 2021-2030

The UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration is a rallying call for the protection and revival of ecosystems all around the world, for the benefit of people and nature. It aims to halt the degradation of ecosystems, and restore them to achieve global goals. Only with healthy ecosystems can we enhance people’s livelihoods, counteract climate change, and stop the collapse of biodiversity. The UN Decade runs from 2021 through 2030, which is also the deadline for the Sustainable Development Goals and the timeline scientists have identified as the last chance to prevent catastrophic climate change.
